Artist's Description
This is a replica of Tucker's Beach lighthouse. It is at the Tuckerton Seaport. The original was on LBI South of Holgate. Sometime around 1800, the ocean cut an inlet between Holgate and Tuckers Beach, and Tuckers Beach was now also Tuckers Island. A lighthouse was added to the island in 1848 to guide traffic into Little Egg Harbor, located west of the barrier island.
About Nick Zelinsky Jr
I've been involved in photography since 1968. I started in high school and went on the work as a photographer in several fields, First as a real estate photographer, then in the US Air Force, Next as a crime lab photographer. I moved on portraits for a time. I stayed involved in photography on a limited basis but started working in IT for 25 years. I found that digital photography was natural move with experience in both photography and computers. Now that I am retired, I do more landscape and nature work.
